Squire’s Castle Engagement Session with Marla & Michael
I met up with Marla and Michael on a beautiful August night for their Squire’s Castle engagement session. When I initially met with the two of them last Spring, I knew they were my kind of people. They both have wonderful personalities and are so laid back. They decided on Squire’s Castle for their session, which was a great choice. Squire’s Castle is located in the North Chagrin Reservation in Willoughby Hills. We got lucky because, despite the perfect temperatures, It was not crowded at all.
During every engagement session, the couples are pretty excited, anxious and nervous a little bit about being in front of the camera. I know that feeling all too well, I was the same way! By the end of the session, most couples feel relieved and comfortable with me. This was the case for Marla & Michael. They brought some wine, glasses and a blanket and I really think that’s when they started having fun. Marla and I joked with Michael that he was going to quit his day job and start modeling!
Before the sun went down, we decided to stop by nearby Wickliffe City Hall for a dressier outfit. I recently discovered the city hall from a wedding I did back in June. I loved it so much, I’m glad I was able to go back for another session. Marla brought a small flower bouquet, which was such a cute touch. I always try and take photos of just the ring at every engagement session. Marla told me that Michael proposed the weekend after her birthday surrounding friends and family. They are getting married in Cleveland next May, and I can’t wait! I know it will be a blast!
Here is a collection of my favorite images from their engagement session. Enjoy!
