Snowy, Fall Springfield Wedding with Rachel and Caleb
Rachel and Caleb had quite the day for their “Fall” Springfield Wedding! We woke up to the first day of snow in Ohio and a blistering 30 degrees. Not exactly what you would want for a Fall wedding, but at least it wasn’t raining! The whole wedding party got ready in the church, while we shot some detail photos. Rachel made sure the ring Caleb bought her daughter was also photographed. It was so sweet that she got her own ring! Caleb is a police officer, so Rachel incorporated blue and black details to highlight that. The two read letters from each other and shed a few tears. We set up a private first look for them and the nerves calmed down a bit after that.
Portraits
The bridal party planned to go to Wingfoot Lake State Park for portraits before the ceremony, and despite the cold, we stuck with it and I’m SO glad we did! I have worked with most of the bridal party before and they really are troopers! Nothing compares to outdoor photos in good light and you wouldn’t even know how cold it truly was that day! The ceremony was held at Springfield Baptist Church where groomsmen, Eddie, was the officiant. It was short and sweet and over just in time to do the bubble exit before dark. We headed right to the cocktail hour at Springlake Party Center. Rachel and Caleb were announced to the theme song” Bad Boys” then Caleb proceeded to handcuff Rachel. After dinner, Caleb and Olivia had an awesome dance collaboration, and Caleb got some serious cake smashed in his face.
