Summertime Savannah Wedding at The Westin Harbor Golf Resort

Shelby and Nate’s July Savannah Wedding was one I had been looking forward to all year long! When I arrived in Savannah it was SO hot and humid I wondered how the wedding was going to go. Hurricane Elsa had just come through the Southern States, so we all crossed fingers it would be dry on the wedding day! Sure enough, the day started off sunny and relaxed at The Westin Harbor Golf Resort. After the whole bridal party was ready, Shelby had a first look with her Dad out on the lawn, followed by her and Nate. They had rented a trolley for the whole group to get around in, which made transportation so much easier!

Our first stop was Bethesda Academy, right by the ever-popular Wormsloe. I found that the Spanish moss was just as beautiful there as Wormsloe, but there were no tourists to compete with since it was a private establishment. As luck would have it, the rain started pouring while we were there, but we managed to get the photos in before heading to downtown Savannah. We stopped by Lafayette Square, Forsyth Park Fountain, and Love lock bridge, where they placed an N & S initialed lock on. As soon as we arrived back at the Westin, the wind and rain picked back up again. After some debate, they went ahead with the outdoor ceremony as raindrops fell. It was short and sweet, but they got married by the water, just as they wanted! It was a privilege to travel to such a gorgeous city for a dreamy wedding.
