Lake View Cemetery Engagement Session / Kristin + Christian

I am always up for unique locations to shoot at, so Kristin and Christian’s Lake View Cemetery Engagement Session was so fun! They chose the Lake View Cemetery in Cleveland because they went there on one of their first dates and love the vibe and gothic scenery. I had never been there before, but immediately was surprised with how big and scenic the property was! It was founded in 1869 and is one of the largest and most beautiful garden cemeteries in the United States.

It was mid- November, but we still had some color on the trees and crispness in the air. The architecture and different textures were a nice contrast to the trees. It felt like we were in different locations as we walked around. We ended at the Haserot Angel, one of the cemeteries most famous graves. The statue’s most striking feature is how death’s guardian appears to be weeping black tears, which pour from her eyes and drip down her neck. These “tears” formed over time, an effect of the aging bronze combined with the impressive sculpting work of the piece itself.  As a result, she is often referred to as the Weeping Angel.

It was a neat experience with these two and I loved how the photos turned out! They are planning a November wedding that I can’t wait to be a part of! Here are my favorites!
