I had the privilege of meeting Miss Maggie last weekend for her newborn session.
Lindsey and Josh were wedding clients of mine in August 2015. They had one of my absolute favorite weddings to date. It was held at Lindsey’s parents’ property. It was the perfect, Summer day for a ceremony by the pond, and a tented reception. Lindsey’s dress was also one of my all-time favorites, so we decided to use it for some of Maggie’s pictures, along with the veil and necklace Lindsey wore.
When I arrived, Maggie was awake, so we started the session in the nursery (which is AMAZING). Lindsey and Josh decided not to find out the sex until birth, so they decorated in a neutral theme. The woodsy, animal theme fits them to a tee. Josh kept mentioning how much he loved Maggie’s eyes, so I’m happy we got a great shot of her looking right at him! Josh grew up with two sisters and a great mom, so he is going to make an amazing dad to Maggie!
We moved to Josh and Lindsey’s bedroom, and the photos on the bed are some of my favorites from the day. Lindsey looks absolutely amazing for just having a baby not even two weeks prior! The love you can see in her eyes can’t be missed. There really is no greater love, than a mothers.
It was raining all day, so we weren’t able to get outside for long, but we were able to get a family picture by their red barn. Whiskey (the dog) was their first “child”. He is SO cute and wanted to be in all the pictures with his lil’ sis. I’m not a huge fan of dogs, but I wanted to take him home with me! I love the shots we got with him in!
I know this won’t be the last time I photograph this family. I can’t wait to see what Maggie is like when she is older. Her parents are both very smart and successful, so I know she will be in great hands!
