Geena and Eric’s German Family Society Wedding
Geena and Eric truly have a fairytale love story. Both of their families are members of the German Family Society in Brimfield. Geena told me that she started dancing there around the age of seven. She and Eric met there and their relationship started in their early teen years. Little did they know over a decade later, they would be getting married at the same place they met!
We started the day off with the Girls at Fringe Salon and Spa in Stow. The salon was very organized and prompt to get everyone done right on schedule. We then headed to the Sheraton Suites where the girls got dressed. We were in awe when we saw Geena’s gorgeous dress! It’s definitely a favorite for sure! Eric and the Guys got ready at his parent’s house in Hudson, then headed to downtown Cuyahoga Falls. Geena and Eric decided to do their first look on the boardwalk. We found a nice secluded spot for them to enjoy that private moment with each other.
After some bridal party photos, we all went to the German Family Society before the start of the ceremony. When I met Geena there prior to the wedding, she had told me the ceremony would be in the Bier Garden, and the reception would be outside. It was hard to see her vision until that day. The venue was completely transformed into an amazing space! The personal touches throughout the venue were adorable. There were rustic doors in the front of the ceremony space, personalized corn hole and Jenga boards for guests to enjoy, and absolutely perfect weather! They had a super sweet ceremony featuring their own vowels. They also had a sand ceremony that contained the sand from the beach Eric proposed at!
The highlight of the night was Geena and Eric’s choreographed first dance, along with several German dances. It was amazing to watch such a large group of dancers at a wedding; definitely a first! The venue made amazing German food and there was plenty of Jägermeister on tap. Everyone had so much fun at the reception. It’s weddings like this, that make me feel so blessed to do this for a job!
Geena and Eric, it was wonderful getting to know you and your families. I hope you love the preview!
